5 Hobbies I would love to try in 2024

Hey folks!

How are you doing? Finally got the time to write. It was a long semester and a much longer exam week, but eventually, it's all over. And as 2023 is coming to an end, I decided to make my 2024 a little bit more productive hehe.  So here are 5 things I would love to try out in 2024.

KNITTING

Believe me or not, I never imagined I would like to learn knitting ever! Whenever I used to see my grandmother and mother or anyone else knitting, I used to think how boring it could be to sit in one position and keep intertwining two needles in complete silence for hours. But somehow, getting to know how to stitch and embroider (which I was not really into before), really made me curious about knitting. So I watched a few videos and explored some techniques on Pinterest and came to the conclusion that I could try this out.

BLOGGING

Number 2 on the list is blogging. Ok, I know I already have an account, but I am not at all productive on it (as you can see). I mean, when was the last post I created? I don't even remember that. It's like I have a lot of content to write about, but barely have the time to do so. Basically, by adding blogging to my list, I just want to prioritise it with the other important chores in my routine. Hopefully, it works out!

BAKING

I always had a thing for baked foods, be they sweet or salty. Speaking about sweets, I never really liked them until and unless it was a cake or a cupcake (you know something less sweet but sweet). It was then that my trips to bakeries were more than the grocery store, mostly because of that yeasty smell and those colourful, freshly baked cupcakes. I have wanted to try baking for a long time, and I guess 2024 could be the year for it.

READING

Those who know me would be thinking, Why am I even adding this to my list. But let me tell you, I recently got the time to pick up my reading habit ever since college started, or way before that, like it was a long pause before now. I wish to read more and more in 2024.

LEARNING A NEW LANGUAGE

Since I am focusing on making 2024 a little more productive, I thought of learning new languages; anyway, it was on my bucket list. And I want to start with sign language. In my opinion, learning sign language provides all the same benefits as learning a foreign language and bilingualism in any language, whether signed or spoken, is a great brain booster as well.

So that was my list of 5 hobbies I would love to try in 2024. Well, obviously I won't be stuck to these 5 but would try to explore and learn new things and try my best to make 2024 a year of consistency.
Hope you also have a positive and consistent year filled with lots of well wishes and productivity.
Happy New Year (in advance)!
