My First Ever Collection

Heyy peeps! How are you doing?

So I finally got the time to write about my first-ever home furnishing collection. When we got this project, I was super excited to make something worthy, something useful, and I guess I did. To be honest, the whole process was not only a joy ride but there were a lot of ups and downs; starting from changing the colour board to fixing the mood board to planning the surface exploration techniques to buying the 'right' fabrics (no kidding, I had to buy the fabrics at least 4-5 times till I finally found the right one). Deciding the techniques to be used on the cushion covers was the hardest part or rather the complicated part given the time frame and the deadline (ugh!), then was the sofa throw which I decided to finger knit; the table cover and wall hanging were a bit easy and were finished within 4-5 days.

Let me share with you some pictures of the collection:

This one is from the exhibition where I displayed it.

And this one is from the jury display (which did not look like a display at all).

Anyway, this being my first ever collection, I learned a lot and experienced new things, which helped me widen my horizon in this field.
That was it. This was the girl with no jams signing off for now, write to you soon and wish me luck for my new semester!
